Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Central to this role is effective stakeholder management at all levels of the business. You will have a proven track record of presenting information to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner.

For countries you are responsible for, you will manage the relationship with the external accounting service provider in order to support the delivery of the financial statements, ensuring Vertex is connected to the latest technical accounting knowledge and resources. You will also manage the relationship with the external auditors for the relevant countries statutory accounts you are responsible for to ensure delivery of the statutory audit agreed timelines.

EDUCATION:

• Preferably a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) from a professional practice background, big 4 preferred.
• Education – bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in preparing and/or reviewing statutory financial statements under multiple GAAP’s

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven communication, negotiation and influencing skills in working with multiple stakeholders both internal and external Established record in managing multiple and competing priorities Strong technical accounting knowledge under multiple GAAP’s Experience in managing external accounting service providers and working in a US based business where primary records of account are maintained under US GAAP would be an advantage Good interpersonal, analytical and written skills
