Job Description

My client is a high end manufacturing and e-commerce eyewear brand, based in Central London, who is looking for a qualified (ACA OR ACCA) accountant to join their dynamic finance team. As well as having their own line of eyewear they also produce and distribute for a portfolio of clients. This is a great opportunity for someone to take ownership of the finance function and get exposure to different parts of the finance function (group consolidation, management reporting, statutory accounts, business partnering, budgeting and forecasting).

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Responsibly to ensure accurate and compliant accounts for the companys subsidiary including fulfilling all local statutory deadlines on VAT returns, Intrastat, Statutory Annual Accounts etc.
Ensure all deadlines for monthly, quarterly and annual closing are completed on time including local reporting, management reporting and Group IFRS reporting.
Manage, coach and ensure proper training for the UK Accounting Team
Lead UK cash flow, payroll and banking processes
Lead budget and forecast preparation for the UK subsidiary
Be main point of contact for UK auditors, tax advisors, lawyers and key suppliers
Proactively ensure compliance and keep up to date on key governance aspects, within areas like accounting, tax, legal etc.
Work closely with the North Financial Analyst as well with key commercial stakeholders to track performance versus budget, improve profitability, enhance controlling and drive productivity in UK. Examples:
Analysis of full P&L
Working closely with Sales Managers to track to improve customer profitability and sales rep productivity
Working closely with marketing team to drive productivity improvements
Identify and lead cost savings projects
