Job Description

Our client is a PE backed, fast growth business operating across a range of sectors - SME. As a result of ongoing successes and investment they are currently seeking to recruit a brand new position - a Global Financial Controller role to work directly with the senior leadership team. Within this role you will take on a broad remit involving the direct management of 3 reports and a team of 10 more widely, based across the UK, Europe and other global markets.
This is a pivotal position, which will include the following key responsibilities:
Management and evaluation of all financial reporting activities across the group; plan and implement overral accounting strategies as the business continues to grow and invest
Provide relevant oversite and consolidate all financial reporting and relevant statements for presentation to the board
Oversee the general ledger, payroll, balance sheet and all variance analysis
Manage the relationships with both internal and external auditors
Support with on going and ad hoc projects work in relation to systems and process development; ad hoc analysis and finance operations
We are seeking qualified finance professionals or overseas equivalent who possess a strong financial reporting background and previous management experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous experience of working with international markets is key. Previous experience of IFRS, US GAAP and ideally German GAAP reporting standards would also be beneficial as well as German language skills - a distinct advantage!
