Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Risk and Quality Manager for our new Major Projects team. Your main duties will include the daily management of risk and quality on major projects and thinking ahead. As part of the role you will advise on any potential risks and opportunities to the services, projects, company, client and employees. You will identify and assess threats and opportunities, put plans in place for corrective actions and deciding how to avoid, reduce or transfer risk and realise the opportunity. In the Quality Manager role you will take ownership for driving continuous improvement, undertake audits, check compliance, review processes and ensure that a consistent professional approach is adopted across the team. You will understand the requirements for the service and have a sense of responsibility towards our clients and successful delivery and completion of the projects.
The candidate will be required to :
- Prepare, update and track all risks
- Communicate risk appropriately at all project levels and appropriate to the audience
- Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process
- Undertake risk assessments, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the project
- Establish and quantify the 'risk appetite', i.e. the level of risk prepared to accept
- Conducting quality audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors. Identify and drive continuous improvement.
- Providing support, education and training to staff to develop risk and quality awareness within the team.
- Quality & compliance audits on all documents, drawings and communications
- Ensuring close out of tasks and communicating updates across the team

- £45,000 per annum, subject to experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in risk identification, management, tracking and mitigation. Identify and create opportunities for the team and across sectors Proven experience in managing quality in a ISO certified environment and compliance with inhouse QMS Good knowledge of quality management operations Sound knowledge in the use of web-based tools, MS Outlook, WORD, Excel and PowerPoint Conscientious and responsible Observant with an eye for detail and have a results driven approach Outstanding communication skills and excellent organizational and leadership skill Qualification in related subject and desire to develop professionally
