On a day to day basis you will be responsible for managing a small team of Credit Control Clerks
You will also ensure and maintain efficient and relevant credit control and credit management controls appropriate both for the company and the interfaces with its customers
Where disputes and points of clarification arise, he confident in instigating a process of negotiation to achieve settlements and ongoing adherence to the company's terms of trading
Alongside this you will be work alongside the Credit Control Process Manager constantly review sales ledger processes to ensure that they are optimised to their full potential
Work with the commercial department the criteria and setting of credit limits for new and existing customers
Be willing to attend site visits to maintain a strong relationship with customers
Managing internal stakeholders with both Relationship Managers and Directors updating them on debtors, poor payers, and risks to business.
Candidate Expectations:
To be considered for this role you will need at least 5 years' experience working in a large sales ledger (over £100m turnover)
You will have a solid working knowledge working with a range of computerised sales ledger systems
Team leadership and management skills
Excellent negotiation skills while maintaining a strong client relationship
Good level of English both written and spoken.
