Job Description

You will have a dual responsibility of contributing to the successful management of the department and the delivery of high end client work.

  • Managing a portfolio of international & domestic clients and client relationships while delivering a quality service and advice to same;
  • Ensuring client service level expectations are met and exceeded;
  • Managing management accounts and accounts preparation services;
  • Dealing with client queries in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Managing the effective and efficient execution of client assignments utilising a range accounting applications;
  • Working closely with the Management team on large scale projects.
  • Support with practice development initiatives for the firm;
  • Working with the Management team to ensure the agreed objectives of the business unit are achieved in a timely manner;
  • Financial and commercial responsibility for your client portfolio performance including both external and internal finances;
  • Monitoring of finance KPI’s including utilization rates, recovery rates, fees etc.;
  • Liaising with internal finance team with regard to utilization rates, billing, debtors, fee collection and work in progress in your team and monitoring of same to endeavor to keep both to a minimum;
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with 3-4 years+ PQE
  • Experience in preparation of statutory accounts, including a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Financial Reporting Standards in UK and Ireland (FRS 102)
  • ITI qualification desirable but not required
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Commercially focused with good practice development skills
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in numerous accounting software packages
  • Strong communication and leaderships skills
  • Team player
  • Prior practice experience is preferred
