Job Description
  • As the Fund Administration Manager, you will act as a central point of contact for your clients overseeing all operational aspects of the accounts (including client invoicing) and you will be accountable for the financial monitoring of the client portfolio;
  • You will manage the relationships with other service providers in the industry, including auditors, law firms, custodians, and prime brokers;
  • You will have responsibility for the production of client reporting and checking of Fund NAV reports. This includes reviewing work done by other members of the team;
  • You will be responsible for the coordination and validation of all work delivered by the team and you will assist in design of systems and processes to meet client needs;
  • You will be in charge of some internal Fund projects and work closely with the fund administration IT systems to provide fund-servicing solutions.

EXPERIENCE:

  • You are a qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA);
  • Relevant experience in Private Equity and/or Real Estate and fund of fund administration, including familiarity with fund structures, NAV calculation, transfer agency, equalisation, carry calculations, waterfall calculations and tax compliance;
  • Experience of closed-end funds;
  • Technical skills also include an ability to read and interpret the LPA, ability to draft/review financial statements from scratch and knowledge of accounting standards, especially those that apply to funds;
  • IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge is a must, experience in consolidation would be helpful;
  • Experience on using e-Front or other fund administration IT systems with intermediate or better Excel skills;
  • You have several years of experience of managing a team (including fully/partly qualified accountants) in a client-facing Fund Accounting/Administration role;
  • KYC/on-boarding of clients and investors experience is beneficial.

You will possess strong technical accounting skills and a high attention to detail You will have strong communication and client management skills You will have a track-record of working autonomously as well as leading your team, helping them to prioritise and manage their workload, directing them as appropriate You will use your experience to train and develop your team, acting as coach and mentor and supporting them with their professional and personal development.
