Job Description

You will provide a comprehensive, efficient, effective and quality support function to the council’s Safeguarding, Adult Social Care & People Directorate, ensuring effecting coordination of the responsibilities held by the Authority and other relevant Supervisory Bodies.

  • Receiving and processing applications sent to the Team by external agencies, including residential homes, hospitals and advocates in line with legislative requirements
  • Ensuring all data and information collated throughout the duration of the process is correct and confidential, and the handling and processing of information is undertaken securely
  • Liaising with external and internal agencies to ensure the sensitive information received is accurate and sufficient information is contained in the application form submitted to the Team
  • Providing support to the Lead Officer, Best Interest Assessors (both internal and external), Medical Professionals and Supervisory scrutiny panel as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience of similar Local Authority administrative work
  • Experience working from home under own initiative
  • Very good organizational, analytical, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and similar applications
  • Ability to produce high quality, accurate work to tight timescales
