To be responsible for the processing of financial transactions for assigned legal entities and branches
To compile the Financial Statements and Management Accounts on a quarterly basis for assigned branches and entities (prepared under IFRS/UK GAAP)
To deliver Group Reporting requirements per the Group Accounting timetable
To work with the Group Auditor in supporting the audit of assigned legal entities and branches
To prepare the intragroup management recharges for relevant entities on a quarterly basis
To prepare the pension scheme accounting and disclosures for relevant entities on a quarterly basis
To work with other Finance UK teams to ensure accuracy and data quality across all entities
To prepare Board Reports and fulfil other management reports as required
To prepare audit files and co-ordinate completion with other Finance UK teams on a quarterly basis
To assist in the preparation and readiness for the post-Brexit regulatory environment, specifically in setting up new financial reporting processes and controls as well as preparing for Solvency II regulatory reporting
Other Responsibilities:
Continually monitor financial related reporting risks.
Enhance controls to mitigate those financial related reporting risks.
Educate and instruct staff at junior level.
Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role.
Key Skills and Experience;
Essential
Sound understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
Knowledge of UK Corporation Tax/VAT.
Knowledge of Solvency II
Knowledge of a Group Reporting process
Above average knowledge of MS Word, MS Power-point and MS Excel, including lookups, pivot tables etc.
Desirable
London Market experience.
Experience of working in a shared service environment and demonstrable high performance in a similar sized organisation.
