Job Description

  • Reconciling bank transactions daily for multiple entities across multiple currencies
  • Preparation and posting of journals for bank transactions that are not included in automated processes
  • Preparation and upload of foreign exchange on treasury funding transfers and hedging
  • Utilization of semi-automated (Create Accounting) process to post bank transactions to the General Ledger
  • Support the intercompany process for EMEA entities to ensure full reconciliation on consolidation
  • Manage RPA Scheduled Daily Cash management report and respond to any issues with the upload
  • Completion of monthly bank reconciliations for the EMEA bank accounts and follow up & resolve reconciling items in a timely manner (multiple entities and multiple currencies)
  • Cash Management set up for new and closed bank accounts
  • Global Bank monthly SOX review
  • Preparation of master analytic file for the entity controllers
  • Owner of the automated flow for attestations at month end
  • Working with cost Centre managers to ensure their goods receipts are performed in a timely manner
  • Manage the quarter end reviews and work with the entity controllers to confirm the completeness of the accrual reporting
  • Provide regular training to refresh budget owners and educate new joiners on the operation of the accruals process
  • Responsibility for the company’s statistical filings across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
  • Point of contact with the legal team around contracts and engagement letters with third party providers
  • Supporting the entity controllers in the identification of leasing contracts
  • Support the year-end financial statement audit process and the SOX audit process
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and innovative solutions so the team can operate in an efficient manner, we aim to work collaboratively sharing ideas and supporting each other as necessary
  • Work closely with Finance colleagues both locally and globally, adhering to global deadlines
  • Support project and continuous improvement tasks as required
  • Mentor and coach interns as part of the placement program
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, queries and EMEA Finance activities as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Accounting Technician qualification
  • Minimum two years relevant experience in similar role is essential
  • Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley is advantageous
  • Oracle experience is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical thinking and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in PC skills (particularly MS Office)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once
