Job Description

A Financial Accountant (Big 4 or Top 10 Qualified) is required to work for an FMCG business in what is a newly created role. The role will be working for a globally recognised brand which prides itself on having an extremely rewarding culture.

You will be sitting in the finance team responsible for the financial accounting for the UK and European entities. This role will be specifically responsible for managing 2 of the European entities as well as supporting project work for a newly created entity. Working in a direct team of 4, sitting amongst a much larger finance team,

Responsibilities will include:

• Management of internal and external reporting for international entities working in accordance with US GAAP
• Assisting with the year-end process for the international entities including statutory accounting and liaising with 3rd party auditors
• Finance projects including supporting with the set up of a new international entity
• Taking ownership for the balance sheet review and reconciliations
• Partnering with several stakeholders within finance (including internationally), reviewing balance sheet and draft templates
• Supervising one member of staff including reviewing month-end close including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Management of VAT reporting for UK entities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will be an ACA newly qualified Accountant, from a Top 10 or Big 4 firm. You will have experience auditing medium to large multinational organisations of £100 million turnover plus. Exposure to working with listed companies, consumer industry knowledge and US GAAP are all advantageous. You must be proactive nature and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
