Job Description

You will develop skills to support and administer a range of services and programmes to Leagues, Clubs and participants. 

  • Support delivery of a range of Glos FA football development programmes 
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Where appropriate, collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Officer in matters involving under-18s and adults at risk.
  • Help to ensure safeguarding and equality are embedded in grassroots football.
  • Collating and reviewing Tutor expense claims
  • Creating, managing and publishing football fixtures for Glos FA managed leagues via FA Technology systems.
  • Liaising with football volunteers - managing and responding to telephone enquiries and email enquiries received via Fresh desk.
  • Developing FAQs, creating e-Newsletters for match officials and Clubs
  • Safeguarding & Football Discipline - contacting participants or parents/guardians to obtain statements, match reports and documenting verbal reports
  • Developing skills to undertake and document youth club safeguarding audits and risk assessments
  • Creating, circulating and evaluating responses to surveys via MS Forms and Survey Monkey

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A person with an active interest in grassroots football and sports development 
  • A pro-active, team-player with a willingness to develop new administrative and IT skills
  • A good communicator with the ability to write clear, well-structured messages
  • Experience of using Microsoft products, particularly Word, Excel & Outlook 
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours occasionally, including evenings and weekends
  • The ability to deal with confidential information appropriately
  • Sensitivity and understanding for building good relationships 
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Minimum 3 GCSEs, C and above (or 4-9) to include math and English or equivalent qualification.
