Ensure divisional and group reporting requirements are completed within required deadlines and to a high standard, including supporting analysis
Track the completion of project and development costs into fixed asset accounts ensuring the group capitalization policy has been applied accurately.
Review depreciation for all fixed assets
Work closely with the development and operations team to assess when assets should be disposed
Proactively identify and analyze business issues and opportunities, including recommendations for future actions
Acting as business partner for departmental budget holders
Bi-annual impairment assessment of group asset and investment portfolio
Preparing and presenting performance summaries, including capex spend analysis, budget comparison etc, for monthly Business Review Meeting with Senior Management
Manage audit queries and assist in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements
Supervision of our outsourced processing team in India to ensure accurate information is achieved
Ongoing process improvement following the implementation of a new ERP system
Act as a professional accounting focal point within the Company
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Top 10 trained, qualified accountant with a recognized accounting body
Newly qualified to 2 years PQE
Experience working with an outsource provider preferred
SAP experience preferred
Experience in a high-volume retail environment preferred
High proficiency in all Microsoft Office software also essential (Excel, PPT).
