Job Description
We are responsible for all financial reporting, risk control framework, accounting, audit and various taxation requirements of Group Treasury in accordance with Accounting Guidelines and tight timetable.
- Executing month end routines on accruals, foreign exchange revaluations
- Investigating and resolving any breaks / unusual entries on treasury system
- Ensuring system data corroborates to external data
- Analysis overheads to budget and explanation variances to budget
- Analysis of Treasury performance to budget or investigation of unusual trends in specific currencies
- Completion Month end E-File financial controls
- Ensuring Finance static data is correct
- Trouble shooting with the team to resolve any issues
- Provision Financial information to Group counterparties
- Support our entities with any additional requests or questions on Group Treasury provided financial information
- Assist in maintenance of Treasury Risk Control Framework (RCF), documentation and co-ordination of quarterly RCF test cycles to ensure that Treasury has robust internal controls in place to ensure the accurate accounting of all Treasury instruments and transactions
- Responsible for withholding tax certificates and related calculations for Corporation Tax Return
- Responding to external, internal audit requests for Group, statutory audits.
- Participate and contribute to cross-department projects as they arise
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We have an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join Group Treasury Finance Team (5 members) in Group Treasury for the role of Trainee Treasury Accountant. We will provide financial support if you wish to pursue accounting professional qualification.
- High caliber Business Graduate with key focus accounting / finance
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience (can be as part of your degree) but 2 years + experience would be an advantage
- Some knowledge / experience of Treasury / Financial Products / Financial Services would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Motivated, energetic and curious individual who wants to learn and develop
