Your new role
As the Assistant Regional Accountant, you will mainly be responsible for monitoring performance against budget, forecasting, preparing monthly management accounts and commentary and providing financial partnering and advice to non-financial stakeholders and staff. You will also support the Regional Accountant with preparing variance commentaries on performance and work with the finance team to ensure month-end is closed in a timely and accurate manner.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will have experience in a similar role where you were responsible for budgets and month-end duties, have worked on accounting systems, have good stakeholder management and excellent communication skills. Ideally you will have finance qualifications (AAT, CIMA, ACCA), experience delivering business partnering and an understanding of accounting within the not-for-profit sector.
What you'll get in return
In addition to a competitive salary up to £30,000, you will work a 35 hour week, have 25 holiday days plus bank holidays (per annum), work from home for the 6 month contract with equipment provided and be enrolled into a contributory pension scheme.
