Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provisions for Group consolidation and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley processes and liaison with statutory auditors.
Input into group planning and forecasting cycles and monitoring progress.
Preparation of tax provisions for UK statutory reporting purposes Preparation and review of UK corporation tax computations and other UK obligations, including significant claims e.g. RDEC, patent box and capital allowances claims. This includes delegation to and review of analysis to support tax activities prepared by finance colleagues.
Operate wider tax governance processes, e.g. Corporate Criminal Offence, Senior Accounting Officer.
Review UK tax issues including corporate interest restrictions, Controlled Foreign Companies risk assessments, and Country by Country reporting.
Keep abreast of changes in UK tax legislation, understand implications and design changes in processes
Liaise with the various accounting departments within the UK to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information required for the tax computations and audit queries.
Prepare responses to HMRC audit queries and participate in meetings and negotiations with HMRC.
Candidates must have experience of working within Corporate Tax in a similarly sized business (large, multinational)
Must have good statutory production / Year End experience.
Qualified accountant or tax professional with strong accounting skills and knowledge of UK corporation tax
Ability to manage and progress numerous actions in a coordinated and organised manner
Effective process management and delegation skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines Strong analytical and research skills, and ability to utilise technology effectively to operate tax processes
