Job Description
As part of the management team, cost accounting managers help with strategic planning and making decisions regarding the direction of the business. Experience of cost accounting is vital in this role so likely you will have had experience in a manufacturing environment or have worked in Biotech. Some of the responsibilities around this will be to ensure the arrangement of cost of production to material costs, wages, and overhead costs, prepare estimates of costs for unique products in order to establish prices of products and to predict trends and consolidate cost of manufacturing for payroll and distribution of inventory accounts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This role is very broad with lots of opportunity for expansion. The company has grown from 13-40 recently and is looking to be at 60 by the end of the year so this is a good opportunity for a qualified Accountant CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent to come in and shape the way things are run moving forward.
