Job Description

This is one of two Finance Business Partner roles supporting the global sales teams for Cambridge University Press & Assessment English. The post holder will support the commercial finance capability in English, measuring and analysing the performance of the business. Key to the success of the Finance Business Partner is acting as a trusted advisor to the global areas assigned to the role by supplying analysis and insight on commercial performance, planning, budgeting and forecasting. The Finance Business Partner is integral to assisting the business achieve its financial targets.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Part / Fully Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
• Sound understanding of relevant accounting policies
• Very strong excel skills
• Good relationship management and interpersonal skills
• Strong team player and collaborator
• Good communicator with personal presence and good written communications skills
• Analytical thinker to identify trends and issues, with the curiosity, courage and acumen to challenge results and find solutions
• Experience in Business Partnering in a global setting
• Experience in a mid/top tier accountancy practice or relevant commercial experience desirable
• Working knowledge of the capabilities and features of SAP and other EPM systems
