Job Description
  • In collaboration with the Central Payroll Team, managing the relationship with Payroll Bureau
  • Approving payrolls
  • Ensuring correct payroll related accounting entries are processed
  • Managing relationships with auditors/external accounting advisors
  • Identifying/monitoring changes in accounting rules
  • Preparing and reviewing local statutory accounts and reconcile these to US GAAP
  • Preparing and reviewing supporting schedules/evidence for audit of accounts
  • Managing relationships with indirect tax authorities
  • Identifying and monitoring changes in indirect tax rules
  • Reviewing/adjusting transactions making up indirect tax balances
  • Assisting in the preparation of indirect tax returns
  • Pay/recover VAT/Tax credit/corporate tax payable/receivable
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts
  • Preparing cost plus invoices
  • Monitoring to ensure adequate balances in bank accounts
  • Guiding operational employees
  • Performing variance analysis reviews on monthly income statements/balance sheets for assigned companies and proposing adjustments as necessary
  • Performing a variance analysis review on monthly balance sheet and proposeing adjustments as necessary
  • Reviewing and analysing fixed asset data
  • Maintaining timely and accurate general ledger records for the assigned companies
  • Ensuring compliance to, and maintenance of, internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley act and local tax and accounting legislation
  • Proposing significant accruals/provisions required
  • Reviewing/approving monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring necessary actions are taken as a result.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates must hold an ACCA diploma (or equivalent), and must be fluent in English (written and spoken). It is essential that candidates have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a General Finance role. Previous experience working in an international company would be beneficial. Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and work independently under remote line management. Accuracy, good attention to detail and good communication skills are essential in this role. Candidates must have good organisational skills and must be able to prioritise a varied workload.
