Job Description
  • Executes on sales strategy, goals, objectives, and implementation plans to close sufficient new business to achieve sales quotas.
  • Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Attends business networking groups representing the company in a positive manner and building relationships with key players.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential businesses.
  • Executes on sales activities to establish and enhance market presence and lead flow.
  • Develops and maintains a consistent pipeline and qualifies new business leads.
  • Communicates with sales leads and customers by phone or email as soon as possible following the initial contact.
  • Evaluates and responds to formal Requests for Proposal or Requests for Information.
  • Works closely with Sales Engineers to answer technical questions and proactively present the value added by our products.
  • Execute marketing initiatives in support of sales activities as needed/requested.
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service through the sales cycle.
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure completion of the sale and/or customization needs.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending training, reviewing professional publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Will meet the minimum expected timeline and attempts for contacting and following up on our customer leads.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a positive attitude internally and externally.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 3-5 years of previous sales experience with proven track record in commission role.
  • Confident and assertive approach with the ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Ability to network and build trust both internally and externally.
  • Ability to navigate and bring clarity to complex situations.
