Job Description
The responsibilities of these posts will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Produce key financial statements in order to compile the annual accounts
- Evaluate, review and ensure viable investment and spending options are presented, to robustly challenge any pre-conceived preferred options, referring disputed cases to higher authority
- Act as key support to the business areas to analyze, understand and report on financial performance against delivery schedules & targets, and provide a strategic level analysis of risks and opportunities, including mitigation options as appropriate, whilst supporting contract negotiations from a finance and accounting perspective
- Provides significant influence and commercial insight to operational business decisions, including supplier selection, on the basis of strategic analysis of financial and commercial sources of information
- Oversee the monthly financial forecasting process for the Delivery Team, including financial risk, and accurate and insightful commentary and variance analysis.
- Lead on the financial input and information at forecast reviews to empower stakeholder decision making.
- Oversee the inventory audit process with external audits and internal teams; ensuring compliance with accounting boundaries for statement of accounts and review of audit risks
- Oversee the production, review and assurance of all aspects of the general ledger and key financial statements which are used to compile the annual accounts
