Job Description

The role you will be heavily involved with the business and operations managers and will play a pivotal role in providing detailed and high-quality analysis of the business and manufacturing operation providing financial support driving the profitability of this important and rapidly growing area of the business.

The jobholder will have the financial responsibility of UK Accountant, Advanced Materials with specific responsibility for:

• Management accounts
• Accruals and prepayments
• Product costing
• Margin analysis
• Inventory control and provisions

• Raw material cost tracking
• Support Latest Estimate and Budget preparations as required

The role will provide the necessary control and support to the Business and Operations managers and will involve working closely with the Advanced Materials management team to help drive sound business decisions, thereby maximizing profitability and reducing business risk.

The UK Accountant will also ensure that the company’s accounting policies are followed and will work with internal and external auditors to ensure that the company remains fully compliant in all areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Part qualified CIMA or ACCA, with at least 3 years of experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience of SAP useful but not essential 
• Highly motivated and be able to work both on your own Initiative and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to analyze and use data astutely
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Experience of working in a manufacturing operation including product costing
