Job Description

This role reports directly to the Cost Accountant and will involve assistance in;

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• To produce, analyze and report financial information to Management.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Contributing to a data-led ethos in decision making within the business through financial information reporting and trend analysis
• Analysis of selected financial margins. Identifying, reviewing and reporting trends.
• Build and maintain effective relationships and communication channels with assigned cost owners
• Analysis of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet Nominal to assist with month-end reporting
• Assist in the Annual Budgeting and Quarterly Reforecasting process; perform & annotate monthly variance analysis
• Assist business requirement for supplier spend analysis
• Complete balance sheet reviews for cost related balance sheet accounts
• Ad hoc projects as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Degree in relevant subject
• Experience working in a Finance function
• Good understanding of Accounting Concepts and Practices
• Experience of working with large datasets
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Good time management and organization skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Exposure or desire to learn technical programming languages e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, Crystal Reporting, Power BI
