Job Description

·     Produce month end accounts and management information and analysis for monthly finance and consulting reports, ensuring all financial information is accurate and consistent

-Work closely with Heads of Department to review actual costs against budget and forecast

-Management and maintenance of fixed asset register

-Responsibility for quarterly VAT returns and compliance

-Involvement in payroll; review of and supporting HR as required and responsibility for P11d reporting

-Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process

-Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations

-Dealing with queries and advising colleagues in the absence of the Finance Director

-Involvement in ad-hoc finance projects, reports and analysis as required by Finance Director

-Supervision and line management of the Accounts Payable function

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This is a busy role and requires a confident and calm approach. This client is looking for somebody with the following:

-ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified

-Prior accounting experience at a similar level

-Understanding of relevant tax laws 

-Experience of finance software packages 

-Advanced Excel skills

-Conscientious with the ability to work accurately and independently to time restraints 

-Experience of producing and presenting reports
