Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, naturally self-motivated, and proactive individual, who can contribute to the smooth running of our busy team, with an ability to support the delivery of regular taxation returns/payments, payroll/pensions management and financial reporting across our international business.

  • Management and production of UK VAT returns and corporation tax queries (including monthly and annual reconciliations of the VAT control accounts)
  • Management and production of the Bi-monthly Irish VAT/VIES returns
  • Assist with the development of VAT specific reports in ERP
  • UK payroll processing (cover only)
  • Administration of the UK pension scheme (including regulatory reviews)
  • Production and submission of annual payroll returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing of asset specific accruals
  • Review and approval of expenses / invoices
  • Consolidation of Intercompany loan / interest transactions
  • Preparation of annual external audit requirements
  • Collation of corporation tax information

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • VAT experience
  • UK drivers’ license
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to deliver tasks on time and with a high degree of autonomy and accuracy, whilst maintaining momentum under pressure
  • A focused and efficient person happy to work on own initiative to process financial information in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a flexible team and to contribute towards wider objectives
  • Ability to work under pressure and priorities work effectively to meet strict reporting deadlines
  • Able to maintain financial records in a methodical and orderly fashion
  • High level of computer literacy; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word, strong spreadsheet and analytical skills
  • Effective and sensitive communicator able to build effective relationships with a wide variety of people
  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills
  • Knowledge of how to work with financial systems
  • Open to learning about taxation outside of the UK (e.g. Ireland).
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive and committed team member, who works to very high standards and cares about client interests, and Nova’s and own professional reputation
  • Self-motivated and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy or part of a team
