Job Description
  • Oversee Accounts Assistants ensuring all processes are covered / completed in a timely manner
  • Various Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Review processes and implement streamlined ways of working
  • Working closely with the Senior Finance Assistant to implement controls and KPIs across both sides of General Ledger.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of credit note authorizations, Balance Sheet and Bank Reconciliations
  • Overhead Accruals and Prepayments
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Weekly and Monthly Outstanding Cash and KPI reporting
  • Work closely with the Senior Finance Assistant to assist, providing cover during Peak times and to implement controls across both areas
  • Completion of Permanent supervision controls
  • Management of the credit note authorization mailbox ensuring all requests are accurately allocated and dealt with in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to improve work practices, highlighting issues and provide feedback
  • Responsibility for the creation and up keep of process notes within the Accounts Assistant roles
  • Assist and provide cover where necessary
  • Assist the General Ledger Team Leader with adhoc work

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High level of numeracy with a minimum of 3 years relevant finance experience
  • Strong time management & organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience, background within a similar role
  • Strong communication skills i.e. face to face, telephone, e-mail, report writing
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Good standard in IT literacy with particular focus on Microsoft Excel and Word
