Finance Assistant

Job Description

Working within a team of 4, as the Finance Assistant, you will play a key role within the finance department, and be tasked with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with month end journals and reconciliations
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Assisting with budgeting
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Preparing intrastat reports
- Covering for AP and AR during absence
- Additional ad hoc duties as required


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

As the successful individual, you will either be AAT/ACCA/CIMA part qualified, or possess relevant equivalent experience. You will also have previous experience working in a similar level finance role, with good knowledge of debit and credits. Strong excel skills are paramount to be successful in this position, given the way their system operates. Other desirable attributes you will possess include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload efficiently and effectively
- High level of accuracy within your work
