Job Description
You will be working in our Specialist Services with our established, small and friendly administration and reception team who are committed to delivering high quality care to our patients.
To carry out a range of administrative and secretarial duties to support the Specialist Services teams
To work on the reception desk and carry out a variety of reception duties
To take telephone calls on the Single Point of Access phone lines as and when needed
To type appointment letters, clinical letters and discharge letters using both copy type and on occasion, audio typing
To maintain and update accurate patient records is accordance with standard operating procedures including scanning, filing, audio and copy typing
Respond to all queries, correspondence and issues within department in relation to specialist services
Main cover for reception as and when needed
Prioritise and manage own workload
To support the admin team leader in introducing changes to administrative systems in line with service modernisation and integration
To support any audits required by the services relating to this department
To produce information and data relating to the services relating to this department, as required
To greet patients at reception and book them into clinic appointments as required
To participate in administration meetings and share good practice amongst peers within the organisation
To take telephone calls on the SPA phone lines and administer as appropriate
