Job Description

The successful candidate must be a person who is passionate about excellent customer service, works well under pressure, possesses good problem-solving skills and is keen, adaptable, and willing to learn!

Key responsibilities

  • Provide an industry leading customer service demonstrating a strong customer focus with both internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate and communicate product availability with suppliers /commercial and sales teams.
  • Deal with all incoming delivery queries from all customers and ensure we deliver on commitments made.
  • Resolve any other customer queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Holding suppliers to account using agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Liaise with commercial team to resolve any customer complaints swiftly and effectively.
  • Inputting sales orders onto the system and processing the purchase to the supplier
  • Raising sales invoices and dealing with financial queries from customers
  • Processing the purchase on the system and reconciling the supplier order book
  • Work with the logistics and internal teams to achieve the best possible balance of service and cost through good planning and communication.
  • Develop industry knowledge and understand Health and Safety procedures to be able to continue to develop logistics solutions for the future.
  • Possess a confident and professional telephone manner

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate at every level
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Comfortable in dealing with numbers
  • Ability to hold suppliers and third parties to account for service and cost
  • Being able to adopt a flexible approach to work
  • Proven negotiating experience
  • Experience of meeting deadlines and dealing with pressure associated with these
  • Self-motivated and tenacious
  • An effective team player
