Job Description
  • Progress outcomes of these meetings appropriately and in accordance with academic processing
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all committees in safe, secure and accessible locations.
  • Assist in any other aspect of the academic governance arrangements as required including maintaining accurate committee membership records and email listings ensuring Assistant Examiners are approved in a timely manner ensuring External Examiners are appointed in a timely manner (liaising with the Registry and Records Manager/Officer to ensure contracts are issued and payment made) ensuring programme teaching teams are recorded and approved as required
  • Establish or assist in the establishment of programme approval or review panels for accredited programmes as prescribed in policy, where relevant liaising with the Quality Enhancement unit as well as any other relevant units
  • Coordinate the conduct of annual and quinquennial programme reviews and compile annual review reports. This will involve among other things collating and synthesising information, and presenting data in clear, concise and visually attractive ways
  • Researching and drafting text for the reports working with the Director of Executive Education, Associate Faculty and other members of staff as appropriate to support and ensure the timely preparation and completion of reports
  • Support the Registrar in processing accredited programme change requests through the appropriate governance structure
  • Act as a first point of call for staff and others engaged in running and developing programmes concerning academic governance arrangements and related matters and to provide a professional client focused service escalating enquiries as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures relating to programme oversight and governance
  • Provide information and guidance to teams on the processes and timelines involved in the development of new accredited programmes.
  • Support the enhancement of and organisation-wide communication of approval and review processes for unaccredited programmes – whether custom or open.
  • Liaise with the Customer Experience Manager on participant and client feedback and its incorporation into standard programme monitoring and review processes
  • Liaise with the Registry and Records Manager/Officer to confirm that External Examiners receive contracts and payment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the Director of Executive Education, Programmes Directors and Associate Faculty receive copies of the External Examiner reports prior to examination boards.
