THE JOB
The main objectives and challenges of the role are outlined below:
- Play a key role in the integration of a newly-acquired business into the group structure
- Assist in the implementation of a new group reporting system
- Establish chart of accounts and roll out of other set accounting procedures
- Manage relationships across an internationally-based branch network
- Work with the existing finance team on a number of accounting initiatives
- Demonstrate strong IFRS knowledge
- Work closely with the auditors to ensure accounting policies and controls are in place
THE CANDIDATE
A versatile and flexible candidate is required for this role and the successful individual must meet the below criteria:
- Qualified Accountant with significant experience in a senior finance role (preference for ACA although other qualifications will be considered)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with exposure to IFRS
- Strong systems skills including ERP and MS Excel
- Must be able to start a new role at short notice (ideally September or early October)
