Job Description

This all encompassing Accounts Payable role offers study support for an AAT studier coupled with the opportunity of developing into an expert in the field of Purchase Ledger. As a sole operator you will report into the Management Accountant and work within a small proactive, dynamic team of Accounts staff each with separate areas of control. Areas of responsibility for the Purchase Ledger Controller will include-

  • Processing daily supplier invoices
  • Matching to Purchase Orders
  • Nominal coding
  • Investigating anomalies
  • Acting as first point of contact for internal and external query resolution
  • Preparation of invoices for payment working with various currencies
  • Payment of supplies and overheads
  • Reconciliations on a regular basis for all large accounts
  • Reporting on costs and assisting with preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of information for Auditors

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
An experienced Purchase Ledger Controller looking to take on the challenge of controlling the entire ledger or A Finance & Accounting Graduate , an A Level educated Accounts Assistant or AAT studier with Accounts Payable practical skills Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a positive focus on personal development Pure theoretical Purchase ledger skills will not suffice
