Job Description

You will be responsible for executing various day-to-day operational activities required to ensure all ‘Business as Usual’ processes are carried out within strict timelines, without error, and to the highest possible levels of Straight through Processing. Participation in project work is also likely. You will work alongside and learn from the more senior and experienced members, and this will help to develop their depth of understanding of the treasury function and will ultimately aid their career progression prospects. Over time we expect to increase your responsibilities to work alongside, and collaboratively support, other members of the wider Treasury team and Business Units.

Key Responsibilities of the Treasury Operations team

  • Monitor and execute daily trade confirmations and payments
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved in a timely manner
  • Manage daily collateral with counterparty banks
  • Interaction with and maintenance of key bank relationships
  • Undertake monitoring of group bank balances versus agreed limits and report on the Group’s counterparty risk exposures
  • Ongoing monitoring of key treasury activities to ensure compliance with policy/limits
  • Manage the structure and maximize the efficiency of the global cash pooling arrangements
  • Maintain all inter-company facilities associated with running an in-house, centralized Treasury operation
  • Facilitate the annual review of inter-company facilities working with Group Tax and Transfer Pricing to ensure appropriate arm’s length pricing
  • Manage the Netting Centre, ensuring efficient inter-company reconciliation and settlement
  • Monthly reporting and analysis, including FX transactional results and Net Debt
  • System Administration of the Treasury Management System and other Treasury-owned applications
  • Maintain Master Data in the Treasury Management System
  • Ensuring SOX compliance and report performance against a dashboard of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Assist internal and external audit requirements
  • In the capacity of Banking Committee secretary, maintain procedures and controls for banking matters including support of the opening and closing of bank accounts across the Group as well as appointment of authorized signatories.
  • Organize meetings, prepare meeting minutes and instruct the Notary where required
  • Challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement/automation
  • Provide business support to the Assistant Treasurer Operations on adhoc projects and initiatives, such as payment on behalf of structures, bank rationalization and cash pooling arrangements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified to degree level with professional qualification desirable e.g. ACT, CIMA.
  • Experience working in an International Treasury or shared service function.
  • Proven understanding of Treasury operational procedures and Treasury Systems
  • Understanding of treasury management systems and a vision of best in practice for treasury activities.
  • Demonstrable ability to challenge status quo and improve processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster working relationships within company and with our external financial counterparties.
  • Sets high personal standards and takes responsibility for delivering top-class service to the business.
  • Focus on delivery and able to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of payment messaging and SWIFT connectivity
  • Understanding of bank onboarding, KYC and due-diligence processes as well as account opening requirements
