The role has come about due to a recent restructure which has highlighted the company's vision of promoting from within. This is a role offers a serious chance of progression over the next few years. The role itself would be suited for a very strong first time mover from practice, or ideally someone who already has enjoyed some industry experience in a FA role.
Duties include;
*Management of the Finance Operations team:
1)Provide support and guidance to a team of 4-5 covering purchase ledger, cashflow management, month end nominal ledger postings and ad hoc finance queries
2)Ensure the integrity of financial records by maintaining a strong control environment
*Ensure the timely delivery of the group's month end trial balance
*Preparation of year end single entity and group consolidated statutory accounts
*Primary point of contact for external auditors and also the preparation of year end schedules and liaison with auditors
*Keeping up to date with current financial reporting and maintaining appropriate financial practices and procedures
*Capital planning, capital management
*Preparation and submission of Group VAT, IPT & PAYE Settlement Agreement tax returns. Ensure compliance for CIS returns & CGS Schemes. Primary point of contact for HMRC and external tax advisors
