Job Description

• Make positive contributions to the development, delivery, and monitoring of services to enable effective provision of a high-quality student experience. 
• To identify and make suggestions or recommendations on how to improve procedures and processes.
• Make positive contributions to procedures and systems relating to degree and awards ceremonies. 
• Engage with internal stakeholders to support the maintenance and enhancement of the University’s approaches to graduation.
• Liaising with VIPs, students, and guests with special requirements on the arrangements for ceremonies. 
• To work in partnership with Professional Services, Colleges, the Students’ Union, and Student Representatives etc. to support the delivery of a high-quality service.
• To share best practice and key developments with colleagues. 
• Contribute to the design and delivery of workshops and training events relating to degree and award ceremonies.
• Producing management information reports as required. 
• Delivering and supporting the development of Academic Services procedures and systems.
• To prepare scripts for use during graduation congregations. 
• To support arrangements for students and guests with specific requirements taking account of the individual and complex needs.
• Writing, editing, and updating all text and information be it web or paper based that relates to the Degree and Award Congregations, ensuring it is compliant with University policy and the Graduation brand in support of the Degree and Award Congregations. 
• Processing invitations and responses from students relating to the congregations.
• Providing support for Student Academic Services in the production of publications and web resources to a professional publishing standard, ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
