Job Description

You'll be part of the Operations team, and work with our amazing accountants, board members and management team to help us achieve our next stage of growth. We are at a pivotal point in our finance journey and are looking for someone to take the lead on bringing together the inbound and outbound finance process which spans across the business from our payroll to our sales.

  • Management of the company financials for the Group (including international subsidiaries), with monthly management accounts including the maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Support the organization to develop its internal financial and governance processes to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
  • Provide high quality management information, reports and analysis to the business, both leading monthly discussions with the members of the senior management team and providing ad hoc advice
  • Managing payroll and pension compliance across multiple territories
  • Working with Commercial Operations Team on accounts receivable
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practice in financial controls, and that the business meets its regulatory requirements
  • Own and manage the key financial systems used by the Company Updating, reviewing and implementing appropriate systems for the best management of financial information and data
  • Cash Management and control including mitigation of foreign exchange risk
  • Maintaining and developing the Group accounting policies
  • Manage the annual financial audit, providing support and accounting papers for various technical accounting matters where relevant
  • Assisting with preparation of the Group financial statements
  • Develop, maintain and manage external relationships with Accountants, Auditors and External Tax Advisors to ensure global financial and tax compliance.
  • Support internal project management/teams with financial advice, support and challenge and act as the main point of contact for the Finance queries

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • You will be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with 3 or more years post qualification experience
  • Extensive knowledge of current UK financial reporting standards (FRSs), specifically revenue recognition principles
  • Experience with Finance, Controls, and Accounting leadership
  • Knowledge and experience working with finance systems
  • Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and financial modelling
  • Coordination of annual budget and quarterly forecast for our business units, including revenue projections and forecasting expenditure
  • Experience running multi-national payrolls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a superb attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to fit the needs of the role
  • A team player to help shape our rapidly-growing company
  • A self-starter, who is able to use their initiative and make things happen - helping to carve out our finance systems for our next stage of growth
  • Someone who has experience of dealing with confidential information and sensitive matters
  • Managing finance projects
  • Experience using Xero
  • Experience working for a SaaS company
  • Experience working for a growing/expanding startup
