Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team, experience of summarizing and general practice is essential. The post will involve working in a busy administrative team supporting clinical and administrative colleagues in accurate data entry and read coding from clinical mail, results and other sources to maintain data quality of the patient clinical records.

Candidate should have an eye for detail and work comprehensively and efficiently. Clinical mail is distributed using Docman I Workflow and Vision clinical systems, understanding preferred but full training will be provided. Some reception duties may be required. Candidate must be flexible and available to work between the hours of 8.00am-6.30pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Culling and sorting patient records and letters in preparation for summarizing
  • Reviewing medical records and producing an accurate summary of the patient’s medical history.
  • Read coding the information into the practice clinical system
  • Auditing data collection standards in the practice
  • Monitoring progress of notes summarizing against practice targets
  • Monitoring patient call and recall systems
  • Processing clinical information via I workflow and managing distribution to relevant personnel including clinicians and following through on actions as required.
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • Searches, reports and GMS contract support, including but not limited to appointing patients and reviewing records.
  • Any other general admin and reception duties as required by management.
