Job Description

This is a newly created position, responsible for developing their presence in the renewable / clean energy sector. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Design Engineering, and Project Management, the successful candidate will assess and understand the breadth of capabilities of the existing product portfolio, and utilise market knowledge and insight to position these to target customers and applications within the clean energy sector, building a pipeline of prospects and opportunities. In conjunction, the role will work with the Engineering team to specify, develop and optimise products bespoke to sector customer needs, ensuring both technical and commercial objectives are met.

The channel is largely via partners / agents / contractors internationally, selling hi-spec products which form part of complex processing systems and plants, with sales values and cycles reflecting this. The role will utilise the full mix of business development tools to identify and secure opportunities, including market research, extensive networking, and referral based activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The role may suit candidates with an engineering or technical sales background within pumps, compressors or similar specialist rotating equipment, and an appreciation of how such products can be applied to applications within the clean energy / renewable power generation sector; for instance biomass, bio-power, waste-to-energy, hydrogen tech, carbon capture, or similar. You need to be adept at identifying, developing and securing commercial opportunities, and will understand distributor and contractor channels. The role will involve regular travel.
