Job Description
  • Communicate effectively with all members of staff and actively participate in staff meetings.
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with directorates, divisions and stakeholders as directed and required on a range of complex and sensitive topics.
  • Display tact, diplomacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide centralized telephone coverage for the unit, answering where practicable enquiries for staff, patients and external contacts.
  • Collaborate with staff in maintaining accurate databases, updating office operating procedures, inventories and documentation.
  • Assists with providing comprehensive training and supervision of clerical staff and new members of administrative staff within the department in all relevant areas
  • To work in a safe manner in accordance with the Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Using high level diary management skills, organize and maintain consultants' diaries; responsible for scheduling meetings and resolving potential conflicts with diary appointments and schedules.
