Job Description
As a Project Manager/Junior Programme Manager you will be primarily responsible for planning and designing electronic product programmes & overseeing monitoring progress from concept to completion.
This role will involve customer/stakeholder management at a high level, whilst introducing new products to market, to time, quality, and cost targets.
- Project Manage customer programs, adhering to life-cycle management framework
- Mange project/program risks
- Monitoring & agree allocation of resources available for project/program use
- Ensure resources and necessary skills are available for each program
- Manage communications with stakeholders, executive board, and customers
- Manage commercial/customer relationships, identifying new opportunities
- Management of cost, budget, risk, & project reporting
- Drive a multidisciplined engineering team in alignment with program objectives
- Co-ordinate all relationships, ensuring harmonious progress across the program
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This role would suit candidates that have a solid Project Management background, ideally introducing technical products to market. We would like to see skilled Project Managers that are leading projects involving complex electronic products from concept to completion, who would like the opportunity to work towards becoming a Programme Manager longer term.
Candidates should possess a technical degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electronics, Mechanics etc), as well as solid understanding of engineering fundamentals such as Mechanical, Electronic, Control & Software Engineering.
- Experience of communicating, showing initiative, making decisions, and presenting confidently
- Ability to prioritise activities, balancing long and short-term objectives and finding efficient ways to solve problems.
- Good customer facing skills
- Good understanding of project, risk management and customer management
