Job Description

Working as the Corporate Performance & Analysis Manager you will manage a small team of Performance analysts and cover the following areas of accountabilities.

  • To design, implement and communicate our performance evaluation strategy to Board, Executive Leadership Team, government offices and our external stakeholders
  • Be the key organisational adviser on performance and impact indicators.
  • Confidence in translating internal business intelligence and performance data against corporate performance standards.
  • Commissioning bespoke measuring products for the organisation and managing contracts with software and other suppliers.
  • Extracting, interpreting, summarising and communicating key metrics and business insight focusing on the impact of our products and service offerings to customer groups.
  • Producing metric-based reports and business analysis that is included in key internal and external publications.
  • Ensuring the organisation has in place and uses the most effective strategies, methodologies, networks, systems, and other techniques relevant to performance management.
  • Identifying best practice outside the organisation and appropriate sources of benchmarking information.
  • Achieving effective stakeholder management of relevant insight partners and commentators.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Our Corporate Performance and Analysis Manager at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong influencing skills: ensure the customer is at the heart of business decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of developing and analysing performance metrics and effectively embedding performance metrics into organisations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with hands on experience working with complex datasets.
  • Proven capability for applying complex analytics and data modelling to business situations.
  • Capability in advanced Excel applications (i.e. VBA programming level) and MS Power BI.
  • Strong track record in the creation and maintenance of Access databases.
  • Strong track record of providing business analysis reporting through the aggregation of disparate data-streams.
  • Proven capability to carry out situation, option and impact assessments, gap analyses and performance reviews.
  • Experience of effective knowledge working and sharing approaches.
  • Ability to present complex information and interpretation effectively to different audiences (e.g. management, industry groups, customer groups).
  • Ability to use PowerPoint or similar to tell a succinct business story.
  • People/team management skills and experience.
