Job Description
You will help our team, headed by a Tax Director, lead the delivery of all aspects of our group tax reporting and UK direct tax compliance. You will be an enthusiastic and technically capable individual with a strong commercial mindset and you are passionate about business.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provisions for Group consolidation and ensuring compliance with processes and liaison with statutory auditors. Input into group planning and forecasting cycles and monitoring progress.
- Preparation of tax provisions for UK statutory reporting purposes
- Preparation and review of UK corporation tax computations and other UK obligations, including significant claims e.g. patent box and capital allowances claims.
- This includes delegation to and review of analysis to support tax activities prepared by finance colleagues
- Operate wider tax governance processes, e.g. Corporate Criminal Offence, Senior Accounting Officer.
- Review UK tax issues including corporate interest restrictions, Controlled Foreign Companies risk assessments, and Country by Country reporting.
- Keep abreast of changes in UK tax legislation, understand implications and design changes in processes
- Liaise with the various accounting departments within the UK to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information required for the tax computations and audit queries.
- Prepare responses to audit queries and participate in meetings and negotiations.
- Provide day-to-day tax advice to the UK business and assess implications of projects on UK compliance and tax accounting.
