Job Description

This role is ideal for an actively studying part qualified accountant. Good management accounts knowledge, a personable character and the ability to deal with a busy workload are essential skills to be successful within this position.

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday - 09:00 - 17:30 - 37.5 hours per week

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Production of month-end results in conjunction with other finance team members.
  • Business partnering with Operational Managers to monitor performance to budget.
  • Build relationships with non-financial stakeholders and provide financial analysis, insight and guidance.
  • Processing of accruals and prepayments in line with financial process and principles.
  • Monitor and complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
  • Tracking and reconciling cash transactions through the business.
  • Building relationships with other finance team members.
  • Support sales ledger team with income allocation and billing details.
  • Assisting with audit queries and ensuring accurate working papers to support all postings.
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Performance of any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Planning and diary management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to priorities and manage own workload to meet important deadlines.
  • Experience within a busy finance team working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Confident communicator with ability to articulate financial information and analysis to stakeholders, both written and verbally.
  • Proficient analytical skills to investigate variances and trends.
  • Strong attention to detail with good Excel skills including the use of formula and pivot tables using multi-system source data tables.
  • Independent thinker, keen problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Minimum AAT level 4 with ambition to continue studying or sufficient QBE demonstrated through previous positions held.
  • Previously held management accountant role.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable.
