Job Description

• Assist with producing external financial reports including the Group’s published Annual Report and Interim Report
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual statistical filings, and biannual Payment Practices and Performance Reporting returns
• Preparing audit schedules and accounting papers including providing accurate information and responses to Auditor queries
• Coordinate auditor attendance at sites and testing procedures with the Retail Finance team as required
• Supporting the Group Financial Accountant with all month end close activities and preparation of consolidated management accounts – providing full absence cover as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this role you will have a professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) and will ideally have experience both in practice and in industry. Due to the focus of this role, previous experience in accounts consolidation is important. In addition to your previous experience you will demonstrate the following skills:

• Ability to learn quickly within a fast paced environment
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Commercial acumen with the ability to understand operational impacts
