Job Description

You will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager. Your new role will be to work with colleagues across the manufacturing, sales and purchasing functions. You will be responsible for all site costing activities in the manufacturing environment from New Product Development to Value Analysis of current products.

  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of all Manufacturing financial processes, reporting & analysis including;
    • Investigate and report on production variances to standard costing
    • Clear and concise picture of the costs incurred in a product
    • Measurement of risk from “what if” scenario analysis, driven by actual and forecast data
    • Developing a tool which decision makers can use on the “Make V’s Buy” scenario
    • Ownership of Yearly Budget & Rolling Forecast preparation of BOM’s
  • Developing strong business partnering relationships with the Operations team to further enhance insight and challenge/support the business on operational KPIs
  • Create, implement and roll out control processes to successfully monitor and predict the inflationary impact by material.
  • Collaborate with non-financial managers to understand costs and help realize opportunities within the factory.
  • Generate a model that measures the impact on margin throughout the costing cycle from “inception to shelf”, challenge stakeholders on accountability and give visibility to decision makers.
  • Develop and maintain the financial control, forecasting and reporting of the standard costing processes.
  • Collaborate with all manufacturing functions to analyze costing for NPD Projects.
  • Drive process and system improvements for standard costing process.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • CIMA Full/Part Qualified or at least three years relative working experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ideally, you will have experience working with a food manufacturing retail/restaurant costing background, however any retail experience will be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with a high attention to the detail.
  • A confident communicator at all levels from the manufacturing floor up.
  • Ability to work with and analyze high volumes of data and to summarize key messages for the business to make decisions with.
  • Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
