Job Description

Working with an expert team and providing expert advice to the rest of the regional leadership team, the Regional Director of Finance will be accountable for delivering regional financial targets and value for money through ensuring that health systems and organizations have effective strategies and plans to achieve financial sustainability of services and deliver their financial performance trajectories, supported by effective waste reduction programmes.
The role will provide professional financial leadership of the NHS for all health systems and organizations in the region, building effective relationships and networks to ensure that the national finance direction of travel is relevant, credible, well communicated and ‘bought’ into by the finance community, whilst making a significant contribution to developing national finance strategy and policy. The role will frequently be expected to work beyond finance, developing and implementing strategies to deliver the region’s health and care priorities and leading on non-finance areas as required.
