Job Description
You will have MSc or comparable diploma in relevant technology and several years of experience in a technical product developing industry, in procurement or in supply chain related functions. You will oversee and shape the set-up of Procurement across the business, covering procurement processes in Idea to Product and order to cash.
You will be identifying product/business roadmap priorities for future supply requirements and be responsible for building out a robust and sustainable procurement strategy, based on input from product roadmaps and business direction.
You will have full autonomy to drive make-or-buy analyses, supplier selection, securing early supplier involvement, target cost monitoring, value engineering etc as an empowered decision maker.
What you will accomplish with us:
- Project related Supplier relation management and being the last level of escalation for Project related supplier issues.
- Define and control Supplier Milestones within the project.
- Identify strategic cost reduction opportunities in the product portfolio
- During the new product design process, delivering a significant contribution to design decision making and product cost down roadmaps.
- Support the Supply Chain Supplier Quality Manager in release process for new supplier components as part of the Purchased Part Approval process, including compliance and sustainability aspects.
- Analyze and anticipate cost trends, develops, and reviews cost forecasts, translate into implications for the business.
- Drive the deployment of early supplier involvement through design-in or cost-reduction workshops.
- Lead the development of an effective set of cost models to track “target cost” status for assigned product/category, support deployment of cost awareness to design engineers.
