Develop and maintain a close relationship with company’s network of suppliers, provide high levels of accurate and timely communication to colleagues.
Develop a thorough knowledge of the company supplier network and supplier capabilities to effectively manage transit schedules that meet customer requirements.
Ensure that company and customer systems (where required) are kept up to date with accurate and detailed information for each shipment.
Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and work pro-actively with other teams in the UK and all global locations to deliver excellent customer service.
Perform out of hours on call duties on weekends as part of a Rota system.
Proactively manage costs at all times through maintenance of appropriate route solutions which do not compromise the quality of our service

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Demonstrable customer service skills
Is a team player with the ability to work on own without supervision when required
Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and will see issues through to resolution
Demonstrable customer service experience
Good attention to detail
Ability to priorities work / manage changing deadlines
Experience working with or for life science industry
Knowledge of export customs and transport documentation requirements
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
