This will involve liaison with user departments and the company at all levels to promote procurement input into partner organizations’ business plans at the earliest opportunity.
The post holder will support the Procurement Business Manager in the provision of a professional procurement service to the Health Board / Trust contributing to the development and achievement of the Business plan. The post holder will support the Procurement Business Manager on procurement issues and on key projects.
The post holder will ensure that the service is sensitive, responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the users balanced against the need to remain cost effective. The main task being to provide a strong and effective professional focus leading to the achievement of National and local agreed targets, efficiencies and added value initiatives.
To present the company as a progressive, proactive, responsive and innovative concern in order to generate and drive uptake of negotiated contracts. Working closely with partnership organizations to influence choice, priorities change and deliver savings, process improvement and product standardization, driving cost down and quality and service up.
Work closely with colleagues across the Procurement function and Partner organizations to promote joint approaches to solving service issues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
