Job Description

You will be working with the Senior Management Accountant, to assist in the production of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and other reporting requirements.

  • You will support the management accounting team in delivering monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting.
  • Be the first point of contact for our managers on financial questions and report requests
  • Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts within the agreed timescales, ensuring that they are error-free and accessible to managers.
  • Responsible for the cash held on both sites, ensuring that safe systems are in place for control, accountability and access as required
  • Support month-end close tasks such as preparing and posting cost accruals, preparing and posting journals, preparing and posting gross margin journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling differences
  • Assisting and supporting with the annual budget and the year-end audit

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be part qualified and look for a new challenge. You will be able to demonstrate experience of effective communication and ability to work closely with senior-level stakeholders and have prepared monthly management accounts, including preparation and posting of accrual and prepayment journal.
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organized environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking, able to work on your own initiative unsupervised and where necessary working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.

You will have a cheerful, compassionate, respectful attitude, and great interpersonal skills. With an understanding of the needs of older people and the desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
